Roadworthy inspections
What is a roadworthy / safety certificate / COI?
- A safety certificate (most times called roadworthy) is a basic safety inspection. In QLD a safety certificate is required to transfer ownership of an registered vehicle or register a currently unregistered vehicle.
- A safety certificate is valid for 2 month or 2000 km (which ever comes first) or for registered car dealers it’s 3 month or 1000 km.
- A roadworthy inspection is only a very basic safety inspection. I does not properly reflect the condition of the car or engine. If you are planing to buy a car or motorcycle we highly recommend to get it checked by us in a full pre-purchase inspection.
What happens if my vehicle does not pass the inspection?
Don’t worry.
- You will receive an official inspection report which outlines the reasons for the failed inspection.
- You can book a reinspection within 14 days. We only charge a small call out fee, from just $50 which is cheaper than most competitors.
- If it is not fixed within 14 days, it will require a new full inspection in order to get a safety certificate.
- A failed inspection does not effect a current vehicle registration. Your vehicle registration remains valid as long as you pay for it.
Why chose us?
- Convenient. We come to you and do the job locally at your place.
- Honest. We don’t do repairs, so we have 0 interest in failing your vehicle with the intention of hookig a repair job. Different than most other companies out there.
- Reliable. We take our job serious. We do not do dodgy certificates! Not dodgy in regards of failing something to get a repair job but also not dodgy in regards of passing something that does not meet the standards for a safety certificate.
- Experieced. We have massive experience with more than 10000 roadworthy inspections completed in the last 5 years.
- Safe. All our examiners are fully insured and licensed by QLD Government.
- On-time. We offer our unique on-time guarantee.
